Pawna Lake- is an artificial reservoir nestled in the outskirts of Lonavala. This picnic destination hosts a wide range of water sports. Row and motor boating and horse riding are popular activities.
Lohagad Fort- is a hill fort located at an altitude of 3,389 ft. above sea level. This fort has been under the control of the Maratha and Mughal empire. Shivaji Maharaja used to store his treasury in this fort post recapturing it from the Mughals.
Karla and Bhaja Caves- These Buddhist caves date back to the 2nd century and are ideal for a quite getaway. Tourists can take a dip in the waterfall near them. Karla is widely accepted as the best example of rock-cut architecture.
Tiger’s Leap- This spot provides an all-encompassing, gorgeous view of the valley. If you observe the valley from here carefully, it appears as if a tiger is leaping into the valley.
Bushy Dam- This masonry dam is located in the Indrayani River in Lonavala. Tourists can visit this dam between 9 am and 3 pm. Tourists come from various places to visit the waterfalls during the monsoon.
Rajmachi Fort- Situated about 15 kms from Lonavala, Rajmachi is the perfect rustic getaway for every urban peace-seeker. At this popular trekking destination, one can enjoy the unadulterated beauty of highland greenery, chilling breezes and ancient carved relics while climbing up to the Manaranjan & Shrivardhan forts which are at 2000 ft above ground level. There’s also an ancient Shiv temple, an absolute must-see, which was recently excavated.
