THINGS TO DO

Eighty Four Pillared Cenotaph- Chaurasi Khambon ki Chhatri is a chattri located in Bundi Town. The ornate building has a large shovelling covered by gorgeous rooftop that is sustained by 84 pillars. It looks especially stunning when lit up at night.

Sukh Mahal- While small, Sukh Mahal, the summer palace of Bundi, is considered one of Rajasthan’s most beautiful. Encased within the Sukh Sagar Lake and a beautiful gardens surrounding it, this palace has played host to one mr. Rudyard Kipling.

The Bundi Palace- Rudyard Kipling once described this palace a ‘the work of goblims rather than of man’. I don’t exactly know what he meant but even though this palace is partly decaying, it stands and extraordinary site. Sections of this place are closed up but the rooms that are open are home to a series of fading turquoise and gold murals. The Badal Mahal contains Bundi’s very best murals including a stunning Chinese-Inspired ceiling.
